Corrections Officer Safety

Corrections Officers have a very important yet dangerous job. Facilities often have many rules and guidelines to follow; however, accidents and surprises can still happen at any given moment. Corrections 1 – NEW! Corrections 2 – NEW! In this training block of our Corrections series, we will specifically address techniques for handling unruly prisoners so that both officers and prisoners stay safe. It will include an examination of foot traps, close-quarter strikes, and cell extraction techniques. 1h
Corrections 3 – NEW! When dealing with uncooperative inmates, corrections officers must be able to handle them safely and effectively. In this course, you will learn how to employ effective baton techniques such as baton strikes in confined spaces, baton use in close quarters, and how important it is to offer touch drills to your officers. 1h
Corrections 4 – NEW! Officers are often put in situations where they should be able to recall training techniques. In this training block of our Corrections series, officers will discover the benefits of using tangible training drills that include Inert OC spray as well as Edged Weapons Defense Training, among others, to stay safe. 1h
